A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT CUSTOMER SALES MANAGER (Maternity Cover) AT THE WESTIN LONDON CITY
What you'll be doing...
Reporting to the Customer Sales Manager, you can expect your working day to include the following:
Reporting to Customer Sales Manager
Deliver consistency of high level of excellence to ensure complete satisfaction of both internal and external customers and maximize the financial performance of the hotel.
Ensure maximum occupancy and average room rate is achieved at all times by efficient up selling and cross selling of the hotel facilities.
Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand the impact of relevant pricing decisions on property performance.
Ensure all new booking enquiries are dealt with a prompt and professional manner in accordance with brand standards.
To be fully conversant with Marriott group and individual reservations procedure and systems.
To ensure that rooms are sold to the correct market segment, depending on availability in order to maximise occupancy and average room rate so as to achieve budgeted targets.
To ensure the Customer Sales team members are trained to meet the required standards.
To complete other projects when and when required.
Assist Customer Sales Manager in development, implementation and monitoring of commercial plans of the hotel.
To ensure all the telephone calls are answered and handled in a timely manner and in accordance with the brand standards.
To deal with any complains pertaining to bookings, cancellations, non-arrivals, late cancellations.
To carry out regular appraisals for all Customer Sales associates.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of ASSISTANT CUSTOMER SALES MANAGER (Maternity cover) you will need the following qualities and skills:
- Enthusiastic
- Self-motivated person with excellent written and verbal communication skills and team spirit.
- Strong guest focus and be able to work towards business goals.
- Minimum 2 year of managerial experience is essential.
- Experience in a similar role in Marriott is preferable.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
