About The Role: The core working hours for this role are 7:00am to 4:00pm, however flexibility is required to support a small number of evening events and occasional later finishes during peak event periods or event set‑ups. We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Corporate Events Manager to lead the delivery of a comprehensive meeting and events operation within a large, high‑profile corporate head office environment. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of a wide range of conferences, meetings and events, ranging from small board and director‑level meetings (circa 50 attendees) through to large‑scale corporate events and high‑profile AGMs with up to 500 attendees. In addition to managing events, you will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of a large multi‑function building, including a branded corporate café, kitchen operations and front of house services, ensuring an exceptional workplace and visitor experience at all times. Key Responsibilities: End‑to‑end management of a varied corporate events portfolio, including team meetings, conferences, leadership forums and high‑profile AGM events. Full ownership of the events booking diary and event planning process, working closely with the client and internal stakeholders. On‑the‑day event delivery, including room setup, event logistics, basic event technology support and operational troubleshooting. Overall management of front of house and kitchen teams, ensuring professional service standards and a seamless guest experience. Operational oversight of a branded corporate café and catering offer, ensuring quality, consistency and alignment with current food trends. Day‑to‑day management of a large head office building, working collaboratively with other on‑site service functions. Responsibility for cleaning operations at site level, working alongside the Cleaning Manager to ensure standards, compliance and presentation are maintained. Hands‑on leadership across all service areas, including events, catering, front of house, food service and workplace operations. People management responsibilities including recruitment, induction, performance management, engagement and absence management. Oversight of HR processes, staff training, audits, ordering and supplier management. Full accountability for health & safety, food safety and compliance, including HACCP standards and statutory requirements. Leading by example to promote a culture of safety, inclusivity, professionalism and continuous improvement. Key Hiring Criteria: Proven experience managing front of house, meetings or events operations within a corporate or conference‑led environment. Strong background in event delivery, meeting space management and client‑facing service operations. Good knowledge of food trends, food safety standards and health & safety requirements within a corporate catering environment. A motivated, hands‑on people manager and team leader who inspires teams to deliver outstanding service and memorable events. Experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams across front of house, catering, cleaning and facilities‑led services. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence liaising directly with senior clients and stakeholders. Strong IT skills, including booking systems, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel and reporting tools. Previous experience working within a facilities management contract environment is desirable. Sound understanding of people management and HR processes, including performance management and staff development.
