Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the café during shifts. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, in accordance with company standards.
* Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and service.
* Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
* Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
* Provide friendly assistance to customers with menu selections or special dietary requirements.
* Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers promptly during peak hours.
* Support team members in maintaining a positive working environment.
Qualifications
* Previous Barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous.
* Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
* Basic food preparation skills are beneficial, including handling ingredients safely and efficiently.
* Good time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
* Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
* Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
