Job Title: Bursary Administrator
Position: 37 hours per week
Role type: Temporary – 6 weeks contract
Location: Cambridge
Rate: £13.68- £15 per hour including holiday pay
Role Purpose:To coordinate the administration of all college bursaries in line with college and funding policies and procedures, supporting students and ensuring efficient, compliant processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess bursary applications and allocate funds appropriately
* Respond to bursary-related enquiries via email, Teams, phone, and drop-ins
* Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure timely bursary administration
* Support annual reviews of bursary policies and procedures
* Compile information for bursary appeals
* Maintain up-to-date bursary information for students and staff
* Report on bursary KPIs, including application data and spend
* Use college systems (PayMyStudent, Promonitor, EBS) to maintain accurate records
* Attend and support Open Events as part of a team rota
* Assist with wider Student Services admin during peak periods
* Contribute to the Student Services Hub front desk
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English (GCSE or equivalent)
* IT literacy to Level 2
* Experience in administration and working with student support services
* Knowledge of Health & Safety and safeguarding practices
