Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join Jasmine Lodge, Mother & Baby Inpatient Unit (MBU) and its linked Outreach Team in Devon. This unique role offers variety and impact working across an eight-bed inpatient unit thatprovides specialist perinatal mental health care for mothers with a range of perinatal mental health difficulties, their infants and families across Devon, Somerset and Cornwall. If you have experience in working in perinatal and inpatient settings, are motivated and have strong leadership skills we would love to hear from you. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the psychological therapeutic offer within the MBU and wider outreach team. The role includes delivering specialist psychological interventions, supporting the wider staff team to provide trauma informed compassionate care. We are actively engaged in research, and there are excellent opportunities for specialist supervision, training and development within this role. This is a permanent 30 hour per week (0.8 wte) position. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will join the MDT and leadership team to lead and support on the development and implementation of psychological provision within the MBU, promoting psychological thinking. There will be a focus on providing highly specialist psychological assessment and interventions, working with a range of perinatal mental health difficulties requiring inpatient admission. You will also bring experience of attachment to hold the parent infant relationship throughout the work. You will provide high quality, evidence based psychological interventions to individuals, groups, couples and parent infant work. As part of the leadership team, you will contribute to maintaining a psychologically safe team culture, support with ensuring team effectiveness and participate in / lead service developments. There will also be scope for delivering training and consultation. The successful candidate will be HCPC registered and eligible for chartered status with the BPS.
