We are seeking a dedicated and organised Secretary to join our team. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal, organisational & administration skills. The ability to touch type as with experience of audio typing is essential.
This is a fast paced, agile working environment therefore, a calm efficient manner is vital as are exemplary communication skills (verbal and written).
You will have proven ability in using your own initiative, working with confidential and highly sensitive information, showing attention to detail and the ability to work accurately, whilst understanding the importance of adhering to policies and procedure.
Main duties and responsibilities
· Using Microsoft Office application, produce clinical correspondences with audio transcription.
· To include communication to General Practitioners and other health professionals, clinical letters, notes and discharge summaries.
· Respond to telephone calls or Emails from sometimes anxious and distressed patients, taking messages and resolving problems when possible, in a professional and competent manner
· Ensure all queries from colleagues and external organisations are dealt with quickly and effectively, producing file notes as necessary.
· Ensure the smooth running of the office/team including the assessment of priorities and the initiation of preparatory action as appropriate
· File results, letters and various other documentation in medical notes
· Ensure shared knowledge within the team
· Contribute to ongoing projects as required
· Assist in the coordination of the workload, ensuring appropriate communication both within and outside the department.
· Manage multiple tasks ensuring deadlines are met.
· Communicate appropriately with a range of people at different levels of the organisation.
· To adhere to agreed policies, procedures and protocols.
Requirements
* Proven experience in an office setting with a focus on administrative tasks.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Previous experience as a medical or legal secretary is advantageous.
* A empathetic, friendly and professional demeanor.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
* Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 25 per week
