As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our financial strategies and business operations. Business partnering closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Commercial Director, this role will provide crucial analysis to drive both operational and commercial efficiencies, maximising profitability and generating cost savings throughout the business. This position look across the whole operational process, reviewing costs and KPI’s to improve operational efficiencies providing financial insights and recommendations. This will involve partnering with the COO to analyse and review warehousing and logistics costs, deep diving into any operational inefficiencies and reviewing with the business to drive improvements. The role will also partner with the Commercial Director to drive robust decision making and output in the procurement function. Main Duties and Responsibilities Operational Business Partner Support the Chief Operational Officer (COO) to drive operational cost savings and efficiencies within the warehouse and in/outbound logistics Become a subject matter expert of operational processes such as pick efficiency, pallet utilisation, cost per pallet per week, NWC impacts, warehousing vision for EU supply. Partner with the Operational teams providing insights and recommendations to drive efficiencies and reduce costs within the business. Commercial Business Partner Drive and advise the procurement function on buying decision-making, inventory control and stock cycle efficiencies including supplier rebate negotiations and understanding the financial impact of promotional activities. Own and lead a business review with senior leadership on stock mix and levels, buying forecasts and customer backorders, generating key insights and recommendations to the business to maximising profitability and customer satisfaction. Own the procurement synergies tracker. Conduct robust variance analysis provide analysis and recommendations. Support the business with the onboarding of a new inventory management system. Support with reducing, harmonising & monitoring of supplier cost prices across the group. Lead the margin integrity work stream. Skills & Experience Required: Finance, economics, science or mathematics degree essential. (Min 2:1) CIMA, ACCA or CA qualified with 4 years PQE Strong analytical and financial modelling skills Excellent inter-personal skills with 3-dimensional radar – both written and verbal Able to work and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasked and multi-channel environment. Skills in business partnering, relationship building, influencing, and negotiating are essential.
