The role
An integral role, the BI Developer is responsible for producing high quality reports and analysis across the organization to enable data-driven decision making and support strategic planning by Per-Scent leadership.
What you’ll be doing
* Design, build and automate business reports and dashboards.
* Provide well presented, accurate and timely management information.
* Extract, interrogate and analyse data to support business decision making.
* Present and communicate analysis to internal stakeholders as required.
* Review and challenge existing internal reporting to drive increased efficiencies.
* Establish and conduct regular business review meetings to analyse BI requirements and develop value-added solutions.
* Build robust data sources for use in reports and dashboards.
* Standardise cross-departmental data definitions, KPIs, and calculations and ensure conformance to published standards.
* Monitor data quality within business systems.
* Audit data quality across the business to support data teams.
* Continually improve reporting processes, frequency and distribution by applying automation and technology trends.
* Ensure integrity and accuracy of all reports distributed.
* Manage development and UAT phases of new reports and enhancements.
What you’ll bring
Required experience and skills
* 2+ years’ experience in a similar BI role, ideally in wholesale or retail.
* Degree level education in an IT or mathematical field preferred.
* Proven experience with Power BI.
* Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
* Experience delivering presentations, visualisations/dashboards and analytics to broad audiences (technical, non-technical, exec).
* Experience/Knowledge of ERP systems.
* Self-motivated with ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise effectively.
* High attention to detail and strong commercial acumen.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics – Business Central and MS SQL.
