*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled/semiskilled service van mechanic for a night shift to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and have the ability to diagnose and repair various types of trucks and trailers and light vehicles. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
* Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
* Repair or replace faulty parts, ensuring all work is completed to industry standards.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
* Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
*Experience*
* Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
* Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous.
