Service Design-focused consultancy with a great reputation in the market and a growing team.
Note: They don’t mandate the number of days in the London office but generally expect around 2-3 days per week.
Note: Sponsorship or fully remote working is not available.
The Client
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established studio known for designing impactful services and driving meaningful change across public and private sector organizations — from transport and health to finance and government.
Currently, the team includes Service Design Mid-weights and Seniors, reporting to the Design Director. The team is 5-strong and aims to grow to double figures (including contractors) by next year.
This role offers the chance to learn from experienced designers and enhance your Service Design profile through various projects.
The Role
As a mid-weight Service Designer, you will contribute to end-to-end design projects, from research and discovery to concept development and delivery. You will collaborate with the team to create better service experiences for users and organizations.
Your responsibilities include:
* Planning and conducting user research
* Mapping customer journeys and identifying opportunities
* Designing and iterating service concepts
* Facilitating workshops and co-design sessions
* Producing service blueprints, design artifacts, and strategic insights
The Candidate
* At least 2 years of experience as a Service Designer
* Proficiency with service design methods and tools (e.g., journey mapping, service blueprints)
* Strong communication skills and experience working in an agency environment (bonus if previously worked in such settings)
* Comfortable working with stakeholders, running workshops, and presenting work
* Experience in complex domains (e.g., public sector, finance, healthcare, mobility)
* A portfolio demonstrating your service design process and deliverables
