Learning Support Assistant
Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious learning support assistant to join a primary school in Morpeth to work on a long-term basis starting ASAP.
This is a full-time opportunity where you’ll be focused on supporting primary schools when required, making a real difference in children’s lives.
This is an exciting role for a new or experienced educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential!
What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:
1. Provide in-class and small-group support to pupils across the primary age range
2. Support children with additional learning needs (academic, social, or emotional)
3. Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
4. Promote positive behaviour and support children’s emotional wellbeing
5. Help create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
6. Support pupils during breaktimes, transitions, and school activities
Essential Qualifications:
7. Must have recent and relevant experience in an education setting, within the last 5 years.
8. Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting (desirable)
9. A patient, caring, and positive approach to supporting children
10. Good communication and teamwork skills
11. The ability to support pupils with a range of learning needs
12. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
