Receptionist | Full time | 8am – 5pm

£32,500 per year
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced corporate receptionist to take full ownership of the front of house services at a fabulous office building in Edinburgh, working Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm.
You will deliver an exemplary tenant service and visitor experience, understanding the importance of implementing added value events that help to create a community vibe for all working in the building. You should be well presented with proven relevant experience and confident to take ownership of this busy and varied role.
Key Responsibilities
Reception responsibilities
* Ensuring the reception area looks pristine and welcoming
* Meeting, greeting and registering all visitors to the building – following the appropriate sign-in processes
* Managing deliveries, including couriers and post
* General administration
* Producing weekly update reports
General management of the building
* You will quickly establish yourself as ‘the face of the building’ and the go to person for questions / queries
* Work closely with the off-site Building Manager – confidently reporting building issues and helping manage to resolution
* Develop strong working relationships with the local letting agents and support them by ensuring any vacant office space is kept pristine in preparation for viewings
* You will build a rapport and communicate with all service partners (contractors, cleaners, security) to ensure consistency of standards
* Manage contractors visiting the building to undertake regular maintenance, issuing keys as required and updating the progress / maintenance log
* Produce a weekly update report for key stakeholders
Concierge/added value marketing responsibilities
* Researching pop ups / events and other agreed initiatives - aimed at creating a community vibe in the building to increase enjoyment for those working in the offices
* Developing relationships with local businesses to find supporting offers and freebies
* Developing an e newsletter for tenants to communicate activities and drive participation
* Actively promote the building via social media applications (as and when required)
* Promote environmental improvements, such as saving electricity, proper waste segregation, and encouraging green commuting
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Personable with a confident manner, radiating positive energy and able to deliver impeccable customer service
* Enjoy working independently and be able to problem solve
* Self-motivated, relish a challenge and adapt as needed to fast changing situations
* Excellent communication skills, Microsoft office competent and with a working knowledge of social media applications and Canva
* You will have a real passion for driving social engagement and eager to utilise your experience
* You will be able to demonstrate your commitment to foster relationships and drive engagement with the local community
* Proven experience of working in a similar role/commercial property environment; in a front facing customer
