We are seeking a Senior Platform and Infrastructure Specialist to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract, focusing on cloud datacentre services.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Datacentre to Cloud product team, supporting Greggs in continuing to modernise our technical services by migrating services into cloud based scalable and agile platforms, and implementing robust ongoing management and provisioning processes, ensuring resilience, scalability and security for all of our internally hosted services.

About the role
17. This is a full-time based role on a 12 month fixed term contract, based at Greggs Innovate House, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8EW
18. This is a full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

You will care about defining and delivering an outstanding service to our internal colleagues, particularly but not limited to other IT and Business Change colleagues. You will do this by using your expertise to drive a holistic approach to migrating, managing, and defining services hosted within our cloud platform, ensuring robust design and implementation, in a repeatable way, to support business uptime, security, cost and performance requirements.
About you
You will fit right into this role if you:
20. Are passionate about using technology to best achieve business objectives and improve services
21. Have expert knowledge in server management, infrastructure and best practice
22. Have extensive experience in public cloud technology, and in deploying hosted services into public cloud, particularly Azure
23. Have experience of operating in a hybrid data centre environment, or supporting migration from on premise services to cloud
24. Have strong knowledge around Infrastructure and technologies such as Active Directory, DNS and Group policy
25. Have good working knowledge of public cloud good practices and architectures, such as cost management approaches, monitoring approaches and landing zone architecture
26. Have a proactive can-do attitude and will enjoy contributing towards an adaptive, fun and creative environment
27. Have demonstrable experience of knowledge sharing with, and coaching of, colleagues to drive technical upskilling
28. Have experience of building trust and highly effective working relationships with a diverse range of technical and none technical stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
It would be advantageous if you had any of the following:
29. Direct experience of using IaC technologies, particularly Terraform
30. Experience of Azure DevOps, particularly Azure Pipelines
31. Experience of Azure networking technologies and approaches
32. Experience of working in an Agile environment
