Job Responsibilities
1. Manage and carry out specific job tasks as requested by Client or Project Manager.
2. Assist all offshore surveyors in performing their work in accordance with safe work procedures.
3. Coordinate and communicate with clients, crew members, and project managers.
4. Comply with company safety rules and training, conduct operations safely, and report any unsafe conditions or practices immediately to supervisors.
5. Responsible for offshore operations, including personnel management, daily progress, asset utilization, and maintenance.
6. Conduct and document Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Tool-Box Talks, Risk Assessments, and project briefings.
7. Ensure the care and safety of company and client equipment and vessels.
8. Train and promote safety and operational best practices among fellow field personnel.
9. Possess good computer skills and familiarity with major survey equipment manufacturer’s software and equipment.
10. Proficient with field concepts, practices, procedures, and equipment operations such as GPS, Navigation Software, USBL, and scanning sonar.
11. Have 5+ years of experience as a Senior Surveyor in the Marine Construction Survey field.
12. Must have or be able to obtain all industry-required certificates to work offshore.
13. Must be able to obtain a valid passport and/or visas for international travel in countries where the company operates.
