About the team and the role
As a Senior Executive, you will be responsible for the onsite merchandising of your category areas, ensuring you are continually driving improvements and developments considering this from an internal as well as an overall customer perspective.
What you’ll do
1. Utilise all available merchandising levers to drive conversion through customer friendly and commercially-savvy decisions.
2. Execute the Merchandising & Product strategy and plans.
3. Identify opportunities to improve website / app performance and conversion rate to improve sales performance.
4. Continual product auditing, reporting, best practice monitoring and sharing of recommendations.
5. Work with Trading Optimisation Managers to drive sales and achieve commercial targets.
6. Make insightful trade-offs and prioritisation decisions into how to spend your time to optimise merchandising on Ocado.com and mobile apps.
7. Use insight and analysis to learn, improve and iterate on both a weekly and seasonal basis by reacting to insight and summarising key learnings.
8. Drive innovation and providing inspiration for our customers through continually thinking through new ways to shop that drive conversion and sales.
9. Monitor website performance and regular monitoring and optimisation of product listings and product detail pages.
10. Evaluate and react to competitors merchandising activities.
11. Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
12. Support the Merchandising & Events Lead and colleagues as and when required.
Who you are
13. Experience and a strong understanding of Ecommerce in a Retail context.
14. Strong insight and data led skills - The role will require strong analytical skills.
15. You’ll have excellent attention to detail skills, with an eye for detail to be able to provide accurate and high quality work.
16. Competent and confident working on internal systems, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
17. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
18. Preferably, you will have experience in managing a small team, however, this is not necessary as training can be provided.
