Join to apply for the Heat Network Strategy Manager role at Brent Council.
This role leads a new team delivering low carbon heat networks across the borough and also heads a cross-council transformation programme to ensure compliance with new heat network regulations.
You will have strategic and operational responsibility for Brent’s existing heat networks (serving over 2,000 customers and projected to exceed 4,000 by 2028), while developing the viability, commissioning and expansion of new networks. You will also establish the operational systems needed to ensure schemes remain compliant, financially viable and deliver affordable heat to residents.
Responsibilities
* Head up a new team delivering low carbon heat networks across the borough.
* Lead a cross-council transformation programme to ensure compliance with new heat network regulations.
* Manage Brent’s existing heat networks (2,000+ customers) and develop viability, commissioning and expansion of new networks.
* Establish operational systems to ensure schemes remain compliant, financially viable and deliver affordable heat to residents.
Qualifications
* Strong record of delivering complex projects and achieving measurable outcomes
* Commitment to service improvement with a focus on residents’ needs
* Knowledge of heat networks, regulations and consumer protection (or ability to develop quickly)
* Leadership experience managing direct reports and cross-functional teams
* Confidence navigating local government requirements and stakeholder priorities
