Responsibilities
* To monitor and manage pupil attendance and support initiatives to improve overall attendance. You will:
* Track and maintain accurate attendance records, ensuring compliance with school and statutory requirements.
* Contact parents and carers regarding absences, liaising to resolve attendance issues and provide guidance.
* Work closely with pastoral staff, safeguarding leads, and class teachers to identify patterns of absence and support interventions.
* Support pupils and families to overcome barriers to attendance, including providing advice and referrals to appropriate services.
* Contribute to the planning and implementation of attendance improvement strategies and initiatives.
* Generate reports on attendance data for staff, governors, and external agencies as required.
* Promote a positive attendance culture across the school, recognising and celebrating good attendance.
* Maintain confidentiality and ensure sensitive information is handled appropriately.
