Our client, a leading Trade Association based in Southwark, Central London, is seeking a Head of Membership Engagement to join their team.

The Role of Head of Membership Engagement
Reporting to the Executive Director, the postholder will be responsible for developing and delivering strategies for membership engagement, recruitment, and retention to ensure the organisation:
* Delivers excellent support to members
* Retains current members
* Increases recruitment of new members
Duties and Responsibilities
* Review current membership engagement, recruitment, and retention approaches and develop strategies to strengthen these areas
* Build and maintain relationships with senior-level members
* Identify prospective companies for membership
* Implement a membership growth strategy targeting prospective members across the UK
* Engage with existing and potential members at CEO/executive level
* Communicate membership benefits effectively
* Respond to member benefit queries from potential members
* Develop processes and systems to enhance member experience
* Create feedback mechanisms and collaborate across teams
* Design and execute an annual Membership Survey to assess and improve member support
* Manage new membership applications and renewals, collaborating with the Finance Director on rates and payments
* Coordinate meetings, record minutes, and assign actions
* Promote activities through the website, communications, and resources
Person Specification – Knowledge and Experience
* Significant experience in growing membership and managing membership services in relevant organisations
* Experience in administrative process improvement
* Strategic planning and business development skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at CEO/executive level
* Experience managing CRM databases
The role requires strong networking and teamwork skills, with occasional attendance at events across England and Wales. While primarily based in London, flexibility and willingness to travel are essential.
