Friendship Changing Lives Project
Dunfermline Advocacy has an exciting opportunity to join our staff team in 2025, supporting our work developing the Friendship Changing Lives Project. Established in 1992, Dunfermline Advocacy has been supporting Citizen Advocacy for vulnerable people in West Fife for over 30 years.
This project supports vulnerable adults and older people in West Fife who require and would benefit from relationship-based advocacy support, Citizen Advocacy, to realize their rights and to tackle loneliness and isolation.
We are seeking a new Development Worker responsible for recruiting local volunteers, facilitating and supporting connections and friendships between vulnerable people and local residents, aiming to build sustainable long-term friendships that change lives.
The successful candidate will also support the Chief Executive in sourcing and applying for funding to sustain and grow the Friendship Changing Lives Project and the wider organization.
The post is for a fixed term of 9 months, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
Part-time (28 hours per week), £22,186 (£27,733 FTE)

This is a great opportunity to join CAPS’ supportive Individual Advocacy team, providing advocacy to adults experiencing mental health issues in East Lothian, Midlothian, and the LGBTQIA+ community in Edinburgh. Full training provided.
This role requires PVG scheme membership, with a 4-month probation. A mix of home and face-to-face work is possible.
