Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the warehouse environment, ensuring efficient operations and the smooth flow of goods. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle physical demands and work collaboratively with team members to meet organisational goals.
Duties
* Perform picking and packing of orders accurately and efficiently.
* Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly documented.
* Utilise the warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock effectively.
* Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling and storage practices are followed.
* Conduct regular stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy and assist in materials handling as required.
* Employ mechanical knowledge to operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
* Build and assemble products as needed, following specific instructions to ensure quality standards are met.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
* Familiarity with AS400 or similar warehouse management systems is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
* Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy items (up to 25 kg).
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* A team player who can communicate well with colleagues across different departments.
