BIM Technician / Senior BIM Technician – Data Centres (MEP)
We are working on behalf of a leading, top-tier design consultancy operating at the forefront of the data centre and mission critical sector. Due to continued growth across hyperscale campus developments, they are seeking both BIM Technicians and Senior BIM Technicians with strong MEP backgrounds to join their expanding digital engineering teams.
This is an opportunity to work on some of the most complex and high-value infrastructure projects in the industry, supporting the delivery of large-scale, multi-phase data centre campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce and develop detailed MEP BIM models using Autodesk Revit
* Work on large-scale data centre / mission critical projects from concept through to delivery
* Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and public health services within federated models
* Ensure model accuracy, quality, and compliance with project BIM standards (ISO 19650 where applicable)
* Support clash detection and coordination processes using tools such as Navisworks
* Work closely with engineers, architects, and external consultants to resolve design issues
* Contribute to coordinated design solutions for complex infrastructure environments
* Maintain and update BIM models throughout the project lifecycle
* Participate in design coordination meetings and technical reviews
* Lead or support BIM delivery on major projects
* Mentor and guide junior BIM technicians
* Provide technical input into engineering design decisions
* Support BIM execution planning and digital delivery strategies
* Review and check models produced by others for quality and compliance
* Act as a key coordination point between disciplines and stakeholders
Requirements:
* Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP)
* Proven experience working on large-scale, complex construction projects
* Background in MEP / Building Services engineering environments
* Experience within the data centre or mission critical sector (highly desirable)
* Strong understanding of building services coordination principles
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical design information
* Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams
* Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
* Significant experience in BIM delivery within engineering or consultancy environments
* Strong technical understanding of MEP systems and coordination challenges
* Proven ability to lead elements of BIM delivery on major projects
* Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
* Navisworks experience for clash detection and coordination
* Knowledge of ISO 19650 BIM standards
* Experience working in consultancy or design-led environments
