Teacher Position at St Mildred's
St Mildred's is seeking a dedicated, innovative, creative, self-motivated, and determined teacher to join our school. The position is a temporary job share for two and a half days a week (Monday and Tuesday all day, and Wednesday afternoon from 1 pm), with flexible working arrangements expected to last up to one year. This role is suitable for both experienced and newly qualified teachers. The teaching will be for Year 2.
St Mildred's is a school with a creative and child-centred approach to education. Our inspiration is the quote: "Children must be taught how to think and not what to think."
You will be part of a team committed to providing the best possible education for our children and willing to take a pioneering approach to achieve our aims. Our recent Ofsted report highlighted:
'Everyone works together to help pupils achieve their very best. Consequently, pupils are happy and eager to be at school.'
'The School is determined that pupils should receive an excellent education so that they can leave St Mildred's informed and well-rounded individuals.'
You should be willing to use your skills and talents to foster a love of learning, independence, and strong self-belief in the children. You should have the determination to ensure all children in your class can develop the ability to question, think for themselves, and aspire to be the best they can be. In return, we offer happy, enthusiastic children and a supportive staff team passionate about St Mildred's and its vision: "Dream Big, Aim High, Make a Difference."
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status. We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers.
* Experience teaching in either an infant or primary school, with a good record of meeting Teaching and Learning Standards.
* A sound knowledge and understanding of how children learn in different ways and how to implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
We are a school focused on enabling our children to become confident and creative builders of their future. We do this through a caring, nurturing, and supportive team.
Does this sound like the perfect role for you? If you have the skills and expertise we are seeking, we would love to hear from you.
We strongly recommend visiting our website and encourage you to contact the school to arrange a visit.
Candidates will be notified by email about interview arrangements.
