The Position:
Are you interested in becoming part of the physiotherapy team on the wonderful Orkney Isles? We are looking for a forward-thinking physiotherapist with highly developed musculoskeletal skills to join our team.
The successful applicant will become part of NHS Orkney’s physiotherapy team and provide highly specialist MSK assessment and treatment within an outpatient setting. We encourage innovation and the use of technology to develop services across our remote and rural landscape.
The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner with primarily a MSK caseload although, with working in a remote and rural setting, it helps to be flexible and have good generalist skills. Having non-medical prescribing and injection qualifications would be an advantage but not essential as training may be offered to develop these areas of practice.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will possess HCPC registration and have evidence of specialist postgraduate training at MSc level. The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner with primarily an MSK caseload although, with working in remote and rural setting, it helps to be flexible and have good generalist skills. Having non-medical prescribing and injection qualifications would be an advantage but not essential as training may be offered to develop these areas of practice.

This post will be based at The Balfour
The successful candidate will work: Full Time 37 hours per week

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.

The salary for this post is on a Band 7 £50,861 – £59,159 and if residing on Orkney, you’ll also receive a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,654 pro rata per year, adding extra value to your rewarding career with us.
