We’re looking for a brilliant 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to join a friendly school in [location]. This role is all about being that steady presence a pupil can rely on, someone who helps them feel safe enough to learn and confident enough to try again.
What you’ll be doing
* Supporting one pupil with behavioural and emotional needs
* Building trust through clear routines, patience, and consistency
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo
* Helping the pupil access learning in a way that works for them
* Supporting de-escalation and modelling positive behaviour
What we’re looking for
* Experience supporting children or young people who struggle with behaviour
* A calm, positive, genuinely caring approach
* Someone who can think on their feet and bring ideas, not stress
* Strong communication, empathy, and a team-player mindset
* Bonus if you have experience with trauma-informed practice or Thrive (if you’re not Thrive trained, we’ll help you access it for free)
