Job Overview

We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and motivated CT radiographer to join our dynamic team at Withybush General Hospital.

This role provides a chance to work in a supportive and friendly environment, while gaining invaluable experience in all aspects of CT scanning. As a busy department operating two CT scanners, we proudly serve the county of Pembrokeshire 24/7, ensuring high-quality care for our patients.

Applicants will possess BSc / DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration, plus appropriate experience (General/CT). You will be required to supervise student radiographers and assist with the training of rotational radiography staff.

The working pattern will utilise working 12 hour days across 7 days a week. Flexible working/job share will also be considered. Participation in the CT on call rota is mandatory.

Main duties of the job

* To conduct routine radiographic and advanced specialist examinations with precision and expertise.
* Deliver high- quality diagnostic imaging and compassionate patient care in a safe environment.
* To use leadership qualities to ensure efficient and effective organisation of CT workflow on a daily basis.
* Provide training and mentorship for junior staff and students to encourage growth and continued development.

Withybush General Hospital is a busy district general hospital situated in Haverfordwest in the heart of the Pembrokeshire coastal national park. The department is well equipped with a GE Revolution Evo CT scanner and a Canon Aquilion Prism recently installed in July 2022.

Role extension is encouraged and we have Radiographer led Barium swallows and hysterosalpingograms, Plain film, CT, MRI and Nuclear Medicine Radiographer reporting and opportunities for post graduate study including ultrasound training across the Health Board.

The department has a busy on call, which is staffed on site for General and CT. Participation in on call is mandatory after training and induction has been completed. All modalities work extended days and weekends.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
