Financial Accountant – Clarke Energy (Knowsley HQ)
Are you a qualified Financial Accountant with a sharp eye for detail and a drive to improve financial processes?
Clarke Energy is looking for a proactive finance professional to join our team at our Knowsley headquarters. You'll play a pivotal role in managing financial controls, cashflow, and regulatory compliance – helping us power the future of sustainable energy.

What You'll Do
As a Financial Accountant, you'll lead transactional finance operations and support strategic reporting. Your day-to-day will include:
* Managing payment processes and forecasting cashflow
* Reviewing team outputs to ensure accuracy and timeliness
* Guiding and developing team members in daily operations
* Enhancing financial controls and identifying process improvements
* Preparing VAT returns and ensuring HMRC compliance
* Owning key finance projects and reporting packs
* Producing monthly reports and supporting audits
* Reviewing balance sheets, fixed assets, and expense records
* Supporting treasury functions, FX deals, and intercompany funding
* Collaborating across departments to drive efficiency
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
* Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting
* Experience in a fast-paced corporate finance environment
* Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (Navision 4PS a plus)
