As a Student Progression Mentor you will play a key role supporting students in their personal and academic development, helping them to reach their full potential as independent learners.
Your responsibilities will also include support for disaffected and disengaged young people, helping them to optimise their learning opportunities.
* Maintaining accurate records
* Monitoring student wellbeing and engagement
* Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment
* Providing support to disaffected and disengaged students
This is a varied and sometimes challenging position that requires resilience and a non-judgmental approach. Experience supporting young people with mental health needs would be beneficial.
We are seeking a proactive, compassionate and motivated Student Progression Mentor to join our team. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
Qualifications and skills:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and the diverse needs of students
* Experience supporting young people with mental health needs (beneficial)
This position is term-time working 37 weeks per year, 37 hours per week, with a salary of £21,671 including holiday payment. Additional benefits are available to employees of the East Kent Colleges Group.
