Job Description:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Shift pattern - Monday to Friday
Fixed term duration - 4 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 5 nurse within the Endoscopy Unit at RAH on a fixed term 4 month contract to ocer maternity leave. This is a busy department situated within the Day Surgery Unit. As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Post Holder will provide specialist care to Endoscopy patients and those attending for day case surgical procedures. The successful candidate will require to work in both Day Surgery and Endoscopy as these teams work closely together to provide patient centred care.
Applicants should be enthusiastic, motivated and have an interest of working in the endoscopy environment. Previous experience in this area is a desirable but not essential. We offer a professional development programme and excellent team support.
The successful candidates are required to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service, which runs over a 5 day week. Furthermore, the successful candidates will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and in order to achieve the needs of the service.
