Your next role
We are looking for a highly motivated and effective candidate who has a proven track record of managing a service that supports people facing barriers to employment into work.
The primary purpose of this role is to lead and manage the effective delivery of a specialist support into employment service, including Connect to Work and the Youth Hub, ensuring residents facing barriers to work receive timely, high-quality support that improves their employment outcomes. This includes overseeing team performance, managing resources and data, fostering strong partnerships with employers and stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement to meet service standards, compliance requirements, and organisational priorities.
Essential
* An understanding of Supported Employment practice, including the five‑stage BASE model
* Knowledge of the recruitment processes required by a range of employers.
* An understanding of the barriers faced by disadvantaged groups in accessing employment, and ways in which these can be addressed and overcome.
* Experience of working on employment and training initiatives.
* Experience of managing staff and caseloads
* An ability to work effectively with employers and external partners.
* Excellent verbal communications skills including an ability to communicate and negotiate with diplomacy in a range of settings at senior levels.
* Excellent written communications skills including the ability to market and promote the service to a range of audiences in a variety of settings.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer‑facing role”).
You will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
