Location: Glasgow (Govan and Scotstoun) - Must be able to attend a recruitment day in Glasgow.
Salary: £38,662.00 (with an additional shift allowance of 33% potentially applicable)
Your Role:
As a Pipefitter, you will be at the heart of our operations, responsible for:
* Fabricating and installing pipework systems using various materials, including copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
* Utilizing a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, and weld pipes.
* Installing essential utilities aboard ships, such as sinks, showers, and toilets.
* Assembling fittings, valves, and related components according to precise drawings and specifications.
* Collaborating with other trades to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
* Adhering to safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
* Maintaining accurate records of your work.
Your Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* Modern Apprenticeship certificate/Trade Papers and relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
* Current knowledge and experience in pipe manufacture and installation.
* Strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, tools, and safety standards.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Clear understanding of SHE, COSHH, and Risk Assessments.
* Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within an industrial or commercial environment.
Desirable:
* Marine Pipefitting experience.
* Experience in industrial or commercial settings.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes.
* Experience in TIG Pipe Welding.
