Director of Operations

Part-time, flexible hours

The British Chiropractic Association (BCA) has been at the heart of UK chiropractic for more than 100 years. We are the home for chiropractors who put their patients first, and we exist to support our members to thrive as modern, patient-centred practitioners. Today, we are the largest and most established membership body for chiropractors in the country – and as we continue to grow, we are looking for someone new to join our senior team.
The role of Director of Operations is a brand-new position, created to make sure both our members and our organisation receive the very best care. While our Development and Communications Directors look outward to the profession and public, this role is focused on strengthening our internal heartbeat – ensuring that our systems, services and operations run seamlessly.
Working closely with our CEO, you’ll take the lead on the areas that keep the BCA strong, resilient and effective: governance, finance, membership services, IT and supplier management. From supporting our Board and managing AGMs, to making sure our CRM is smooth and intuitive, to ensuring our members feel truly looked after at every stage of their journey – your work will touch every corner of the organisation.
We are looking for someone with a proven background in operational leadership – someone comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery. Financial acumen, governance expertise and experience managing membership systems or complex digital platforms will all serve you well here. Just as importantly, you’ll bring a proactive and service-oriented mindset, a natural ability to collaborate and influence, and a drive for continuous improvement.
If you thrive on making things run smoothly, enjoy building strong systems that empower others, and want to play a pivotal role in the next chapter of the BCA, we would be delighted to hear from you.
