Job Description
The key responsibilities of an Assistant Accountant include, but may not be limited to:
* The ability to create precise budgets, forecasts and management accounts.
* Maintain accurate and balance sheet reconciliations (including monthly profit and loss).
* Estimating and analysis of contracts (Financial modelling)
* Ensuring accounting policies comply and the upkeep of finance ledgers and accounting processes.
* Review payroll transactions and budget targets
* Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports
* Making sure internal controls are implemented and maintained by recommending changes to improve financial performance.
The Successful Applicant
The successful a Assistant Accountant should possess:
* Not for Profit and Charities background/ experience.
* AAT Qualification/ Degree equivalent or relevant experience.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Exceptional IT and time management skills.
* The ability to form and maintain positive relationships with a wide spectrum of people.
* Experience producing accurate management accounts, budgets and forecast.
* Ability to commute to Salford.
