Aftersales Manager (Automotive)
Full Time - Permanent
Location – Bury St Edmunds
Weekdays - Weekend availability (on Rota)
Salary - £45,000 pa OTE

BYD is already making noise an taken a 2% market share and growing. Within this business we also operate a ford Authorised Repair status, servicing and repairing ford vehicles.
To be successful in this role you will have ;
* A proven track record as an Aftersales Manager within main dealer franchise.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and manage a team effectively.
* A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and improving dealership performance.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to engage with both customers and colleagues.
* A solid understanding of service department operations, including workshop loading, labour sales, and performance monitoring.
* A proactive, results-driven approach with experience in achieving financial and customer satisfaction targets.
Within this role you will be responsible for;
* Leading, supporting, and overseeing the service team, ensuring they deliver a premium customer experience in line with brand values.
* Driving team collaboration across service, sales, parts, and administration to enhance customer satisfaction.
* Managing performance targets, ensuring key processes are followed and continuously improved.
* Overseeing day-to-day operations, including workshop control, service sales, and customer follow-ups.
* Handling customer concerns and complaints, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
* Identifying training and development opportunities for team members to enhance performance.
* Taking an active role in recruitment, ensuring the right talent is brought into the team.
* Supervising warranty claims processing and liaising with sub-contract body shop operations.
* Developing and implementing marketing initiatives to drive business growth.
* Ensuring efficient management of resources, consumables, and tools to support smooth operations.
* Overseeing the valeting team and drivers to maintain high service standards.
* Determining customer goodwill gestures and discounts, ensuring a balanced approach to customer retention.
