Senior Audit Manager, Assurance, Belfast and Derry/Londonderry

Your key responsibilities
* Manage client relationships and expectations, developing your client portfolio.
* Gather feedback on work quality and seek ideas for service improvement from existing clients.
* Effectively manage audit teams, coaching and developing team members.
* Participate in staff recruitment.
* Plan and manage your performance and professional development.
* Develop technical expertise in relevant functional and industry areas.
* Plan and manage assignments to ensure compliance with all technical requirements, including:
o Final technical review at all stages and raising pertinent issues with partners.
o Review and approve financial statements, opinions, reports, and deliverables for clients.
o Ensure management letters are constructive, commercially aware, and demonstrate the firm's interest in the client's business.
o Consult with experts on complex issues.
Handle various assignments concurrently, including:
* Pre-Audit / Other Projects: Prepare audit proposals, budgets, and negotiate fees and contracts.
* Audit Field Work: Monitor progress, ensure compliance with budgets and deadlines, allocate work appropriately, review work papers, and report to the relevant partner/director.
* Post-Audit: Ensure fee recovery, analyze variances, manage billing, organize closing meetings, and control final accounts and reports preparation.
To qualify for the role, you must have
* A proven track record of outstanding performance.
* Experience working with large/multinational clients.
* Ongoing commitment to personal and professional development.
* Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).
* Minimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification experience, including at least one as an audit manager or equivalent.
* Ability and willingness to work on challenging, complex projects.
* Experience with IFRS & UK GAAP.
* Project and team management skills.
* High technical knowledge.
* Excellent commercial, management, and organizational skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
