The Role
We are seeking a passionate and talented Musical Theatre Teacher to join our team. The role involves teaching acting, singing, and performance skills to children and young people, while preparing them for showcases and developing their love of the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging weekly musical theatre classes for ages 6–18.
* Teach singing, acting, and performance skills in a fun and professional way.
* Plan creative lessons that support progression and confidence-building.
* Prepare students for end-of-term and annual showcase performances.
* Provide a supportive and encouraging learning environment for all abilities.
* Communicate effectively with parents, students, and the Academy team.
Person Specification
Candidates will have:
* Experience teaching dance, drama or singing.
* A strong understanding of how to engage and inspire young performers.
Candidates should be:
* Enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about performing arts education.
* Creative, adaptable, and able to inspire confidence in children.
* Team players who enjoy working collaboratively in a friendly environment.
* Committed to high standards of teaching and performance.
Other Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Strong references to support teaching/directing/performing experience.
