We are currently recruiting for Machine Operatives on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing food manufacturer based in Frome. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a machine operative background who are looking to secure a long-term position with genuine permanent prospects.
Shift Pattern & Pay Rates (Temp Period - 12 Weeks)
This role operates on a 3-week rotational shift pattern:
* Week 1: Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:00 - £12.25 per hour
* Week 2: Monday-Friday, 14:00-22:00 - £12.75 per hour
* Week 3: Sunday-Thursday, 22:00-06:00 - £13.25 per hour
The role:
As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for:
* Operating and monitoring production machinery
* Ensuring products are manufactured to quality standards
* Carrying out basic machine adjustments and fault reporting
* Completing production documentation accurately
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Working as part of a team to meet production targets
What We're Looking For
* Previous machine operative or production line experience (essential)
* Experience within food manufacturing (desirable but not essential)
* Strong attention to detail and quality standards
* A proactive and reliable approach to work
* Willingness to work rotating shifts
Temp to Perm Opportunity
After successfully completing 12 weeks, there is the opportunity to transfer to a permanent contract.
Once permanent, the salary will range between:£30,687.80 - £35,111.27 per annum
Final salary will be dependent on completed training modules and progression achieved during the initial period.
