What is the job role?
This is a Senior Library Assistant post at Willenhall Library, supervising the front-line Coventry Library Service.
The role involves day-to-day responsibility along with other Supervisors for the Library Building and Managing Library Staff (under the direction and supervision of the Library Manager)
1. First point of contact for library visitors
2. Helping people to use IT
3. Answering questions on a wide variety of subjects
4. Leading events and activities for example rhyme times
5. Moving books around the library
6. Creating and Promoting book displays
7. Dealing with complaints and incidents in the library
8. Managing staff
9. Health and Safety
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with excellent customer service and communication skills. You will need to be able to manage staff, train and motivate teams and be able to ensure the library provides a well-maintained and welcoming space. You will also be able to utilise IT, promote the service and take part in events and activities.

This is a part-time post of 18.5 hours per week.
10. Monday 9.45 am -1.45 pm
11. Tuesday 9.45 am – 3.00pm
12. Wednesday non-working
13. Thursday 9.45am - 7.00pm*
14. Friday non working
15. Saturday non working
16. Sunday non-working
