The Role
You will be responsible for producing tenders across the firm, ensuring bid best practice and providing practical support on all aspects of the bid process. The role encompasses both managing the bid process and drafting the material, so skills in both areas are essential. You will project manage the bid process, utilising the firm’s bid automated system and a centralised knowledge base to create and produce content. Integration of the AI module will help identify existing content efficiently. This role requires at least two years of bid writing experience, preferably in a professional services or legal environment.
You must have managed the bid process and be able to liaise confidently with internal stakeholders, advising and guiding them through private and public sector bids. Strong writing, proofreading, editing skills and keen attention to detail are essential. You will need good IT knowledge, tender portal skills, proven project management and communication skills. The successful candidate will be a proactive self‑starter, motivated to contribute at a strategic and operational level, and will have the opportunity to coach legal teams through to presentation stage.
As a member of the Bid Team, you will work across the entire range of sectors covered by the firm, producing business‑winning tenders, interpreting bid requirements, advising legal teams on approach, and preparing, coaching and mentoring them for presentations and pitches to clients. The role also offers opportunities to support strategic projects and contribute to continuous system and best‑practice development.
Qualifications and Experience
Given the nature of this role, you are likely to have proven experience within a bids environment, ideally in legal services or another professional services setting.

Team and Support
You will manage your own workload while drawing on the support and guidance of senior team members. At various points of the tender process you will work with marketing, business development and partners, lawyers, and business support specialists.
