Join Anglian Water's Strategic Pipeline Alliance as a System Control Engineer. The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a System Control Engineer to support and enhance our project delivery team. What will you be doing as our new System Control Engineer ? You will be d evelop ing plans for the integration of the AMP8 interconnectors with the existing Anglian Water distribution network, and strategic pipeline, to control the movement of water of the right quality to the right place at the right time. Initially supporting the decision - making around the interface points and developing the control strategy for the schemes, y our designs will be robust, innovative and optimised to deliver value for money. As a System Control Engineer, you will be working across the entire programme, and have c lose liaison with representatives of diverse parts of Anglian Water, which will be essential in ensur ing the needs of the business are met. Key responsibilities: Report ing to the SPA System Lead; you will work with Anglian Water’s representatives, SPA designers, s upply c hain d esigners, o ffshore d esigners, SPA p lanners and d elivery t eams. Work with the System Lead to develop the strategy for the distribution of water using the new interconnectors and prevention of overflow, over- pressure and under-pressure conditions on the system. Obtain agreement on scope boundaries and interface points. Undertake site investigations to inform the design development. Guide the wider design team in developing detailed designs to work within the requirements of the control strategy and control system architecture. A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviour s: This job might be for you if you have : The ability to understand the system interoperability and how you r design and decisions will impact the SPA control philosophy and performance with new and existing AW assets. Knowledge of control system design and applications Experience working in water distribution and/or treatment strongly preferred. Understanding of pressurised system hydraulics and surge analysis desirable.
