Join Our Team as a Complex Care Support Worker - Make a Real Difference! We're offering an exciting opportunity for a support worker to work alongside our client with complex needs in Oxford.
Pay: £16.45 per hour weekdays, £17.48 per hour Saturdays, £18.51 per hour Sundays.
Hours: Up to 40 per week (08:00 - 20:00)
About the Role
You'll be supporting a gentleman in his 40s who has complex needs due to a brain injury, including mobility issues, loss of vision on the right side and PEG feeding. We're looking for someone with experience in complex care and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy. He lives in an adapted property with his family, he loves to spend time with them and is also a football fan. Your role will be to support him physically and emotionally, helping him live life to the fullest.
What We're Looking For
Due to the client's needs, we're seeking a female support worker with:
* A genuine passion for care and making a difference
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
* Reliable, committed, and flexible approach
* Experience in complex care and managing challenging behaviours
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
You'll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and her family.
Key Responsibilities
* Support with daily routines and use of hoists
* Assist with personal hygiene and mobility
* Administer medication and monitor health
* Provide emotional support and companionship
* Maintain accurate care records
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members
