About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a dedicated SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in the Dibden area. This is a great opportunity to support young people aged 11-16 in a specialised SEMH setting.

Role Responsibilities:
* Supporting teaching staff with lesson delivery and individual learning plans.
* Assisting students with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties to access the curriculum.
* Helping manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using positive strategies.
* Providing one-to-one or small group support to promote social skills and emotional wellbeing.
* Supporting students to develop independence and coping strategies within the school environment.
* Assisting with classroom organisation and preparing resources as needed.
* Maintaining a calm, patient, and empathetic approach when working with students with SEMH needs.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs preferred.
* Patience, resilience, and strong communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Passion for supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning.
