Are you an experienced Plant & Transport Fitter looking for your next permanent role? Then here at Riney, we may have the role for you.
We are currently recruiting a Plant & Transport Fitter to join our team located at Wick Lane, Bow, London. Reporting directly to the Regional Plant & Transport Manager, the Plant & Transport Fitter will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across our fleet, supporting projects both locally and further afield.
Main Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled service inspections, servicing, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
* Raise jobs in the system, detailing hours and parts used for all service, maintenance, and repair work.
* Request purchase orders for parts and suggest stock requirements to management.
* Complete handwritten job cards for reactive/unscheduled work.
* Record all actions taken and work performed, supporting the preventative maintenance plan and suggesting improvements.
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping, keeping areas clean, tidy, and hazard-free, in line with 5S standards.
* Respond to breakdowns; this is an on-call role with requirements to cover every other week outside of normal hours.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate must demonstrate proven experience as a Maintenance Technician / Fitter in a similar environment. Strong organizational and communication skills, along with sound knowledge of operational mobile plant, are essential.
Specific Requirements:
* ESSENTIAL - Time-served apprenticeship in LGV / Plant / HGV Engineering.
* LGV (HGV) license is highly beneficial.
The role is based at Wick Lane, Bow, London.
