About The Role
As one of our Installation Specialists based in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs, you'll have the unique opportunity to bring our distinctive John Lewis service right to our customers' doors and install the products they love into their homes (such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TV sets) as part of a two-person delivery crew. You are invited to apply for one of our Driver Installer roles available at our Killingworth Customer Delivery Hub!

* Salary: Starting at £29,000 annually for both Trainee and Installer roles
Please note: All applicants must be over 18.
Key Responsibilities for Driver Installer Trainee:
* Complete the 3-month Customer Delivery Installer Trainee programme to become a fully qualified John Lewis Customer Delivery Installer.
* Provide excellent customer service, representing the John Lewis brand.
* Load deliveries with the warehouse team.
* Respect customer homes and resolve unexpected situations.
* Install products efficiently and demonstrate their use.
* Stay updated on new products and technologies.
* Maintain a safe working environment.
This role involves heavy lifting, including large items like sofas, white goods, and mattresses.
Essential Skills/Experience:
* Manual C1 UK driving licence (max 6 points)
* DCPC (Drivers Qualification Card) and Tachograph Card
* Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle
* Customer-facing experience
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Good understanding of technology
Desirable Skills/Experience:
* Experience with home delivery and installation of electrical and furniture products
Key Responsibilities for Driver Installer:
* Start at the delivery hub and proceed on route.
* Prioritize customer service and safety.
* Handle large items and install products efficiently.
* Stay informed about new products and technologies.
* Maintain safety standards.
Additional desirable skills include installation and disconnection of white goods, TV installation, and flat pack assembly.
