Job title: Civil Structural Design Engineer
Job type: Permanent.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum + Benefits.
Location: Bristol.
Hours: 37 hours per week.
Hybrid working available.
We are looking to grow our Site Engineering Team in our Bristol office. You will be working collaboratively to deliver innovative and technical solutions to our client's problems and construction team problems involving design aspect. The team is an integrated team of civil engineers, a BIM coordinator and draftsmen working on the most complicated RC structures of Nuclear Island buildings in the Hinkley Point C project.
Responsibilities
* Modifying reinforced concrete or steel structure designs compliant with the ETC‑C or other relevant codes (Eurocodes) and project methodology.
* Checking and coordinating the detailing activities with CAD designers or other engineers in preparation of 3D BIM rebar model and/or 2D drawings of reinforced concrete or steel structure.
* Managing engineering changes in line with company/project procedures and QA process.
* In charge of the assessment and the response to Field Changes Requests, Field Information Requests or Site Non‑Conformance coming from the civil works contractors.
* Liaising with other stakeholders of the site engineering team or construction team for clarification on the site request.
* Liaising with the Back Office in France, Poland, Romania and Tunisia for clarification on design package or for closing out of design package issues.
* Technical review and acceptance of contractor deliverables including Site Walkdowns.
* Ensure all documentation is accurately produced in accordance with BIM standards as well as company standards, act as the Technical Ambassador for the projects and be the Engineering/Design point of contact for the client.
Qualifications
* All candidates must be degree qualified Civil Engineers.
* All candidates must have 4‑5 years experience.
* Must have working knowledge of the detailed design phases and how this is transitioned to the construction phase.
* Must have previous experience working in a highly regulated industry and have worked to Eurocodes and BS.
* Must have experience working with reinforced concrete and steel structures.
* Chartered Engineer – desirable.
* Must hold Right to work in the UK. Candidates on visa sponsorship will be considered if they already have this in place.
* Must be eligible to obtain BPSS clearance.
