Shape Learning to the Learner, and Unlock Potential - Join us as Inclusive Learning Tutor
We are looking for an Inclusive Learning Tutor to join our Broadstairs college for 18.5 hours per week, with a salary of £16,962 per annum.
As an Inclusive Learning Tutor in the EKC group you will assess and work with students from a variety of learning environments who are experiencing difficulties with learning. Your role will include providing 1:1 support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential, and planning focused tasks which complement designated study programmes and/or courses.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring the design, delivery and evaluation of programmes.
* manage the team of learning support staff, including day-to-day supervision, monthly support meetings and management of the probation process.
* You may also be involved in the delivery of in-service staff training
Your involvement with students will include participating in the consultation process for students with EHCPs hoping to attend a college in the EKC Group. You will support any students working at level 2 and 3 to ensure a high quality learning experience. You will also conduct annual reviews for students with EHCPs to consider their achievements, support needs and next destinations.

About You
We are looking for someone who has
genuine passion for overcoming barriers to learning
is highly organised, creative and can plan and teach engaging and innovative sessions.
You Will
* Have strong interpersonal skills.
* Will effectively engage learners.
* Skilled in assessing and tracking student progress.
* Skilled in assessing and tracking student progress and planning targeted interventions to support their development.
* Able to teach a range of study programs from Level 2 up to Level 3.
* Proven people management skills to supervise and develop a team.
* Experience working with individuals with learning needs and/or care needs would also be an advantage.
* Will create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Ideally you will have experience of teaching or have delivered 1:1 support or training in the workplace, although this is not essential as training will be offered to the successful applicant. You must have a positive outlook and be empathetic towards learners.
