About the Role
To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, providing a wide variety of shift patterns – if you're looking for flexible working to fit around your lifestyle, this role offers that flexibility. Weekend working is a requirement, and shifts may need to be flexible to meet business needs.
You will be a friendly, confident, and professional Pharmacy Colleague. You will quickly resolve customer problems, direct customers to the right products, and manage accurate prescription assembly and processing. You will promote additional pharmacy services, support the pharmacist with patient services such as blood‑pressure checks and stop‑smoking schemes, and maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
Within 6 months you will complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant and then progress to a Dispensing Assistant for full pharmacy training.
Required skills: friendly and highly organised, excellent computer and communication skills, keen attention to detail, and a passion for helping customers with health advice. You will also be comfortable talking about personal health issues in a relaxed way.
