As Global Claims Practice Leader, you will work closely with the Energy Transition, GCUO, and Underwriting teams, and fellow Practice Leaders, playing a pivotal role on complex claims and analyzing the wider portfolio for trends and lessons learned.
You will be part of the Claims Practice Community, sharing insights across products and geographies, and working with key stakeholders including local Underwriting Managers for Energy Transition, the Actuarial team, and Claims Management.
You will be based preferably in the UK or Germany, with a hybrid working model combining remote and office work.

Responsibilities include:
* Monitoring a portfolio of large and complex losses in Energy Transition, promoting best practices and ensuring compliance with protocols, providing insights into risks and trends.
* Serving as a technical expert for regional teams handling Energy Transition claims, collaborating on large losses, and monitoring the portfolio for trends.
* Ensuring claims handling compliance with the Large Loss Framework, leading review meetings, and driving reserve accuracy.
* Acting as a key stakeholder and strategic partner to Energy Transition leads, providing reporting and analysis of large claims and emerging trends.
* Collaborating on processes related to coverage, investigation, evaluation, reserving, and resolution of claims.
* Creating and leading an Energy Transition Claims community to share knowledge and facilitate training.
* Building and maintaining an external network of Experts to support claims globally.
* Assessing high severity claims, developing strategies, and working with stakeholders on complex issues.
* Providing post-loss analysis, guidance, and feedback to support underwriting and reserving teams.
* Developing Claims Lessons Learned, Data, and Trends analysis for stakeholders.
You will report to the Global Claims Practice Leader, Property Construction & Energy.
We seek candidates with:
* Significant claims experience in Energy Transition (solar, wind, bioenergy, etc.), handling complex claims, with product-specific expertise and knowledge of litigation and regulations.
* Knowledge of multi-jurisdictional insurance law and claim regulations.
* Market knowledge of the Americas, UK & Lloyds, APAC, and Europe markets.
* High dedication to customer service, professionalism, and diplomacy.
* Ability to develop relationships with claims handlers, managers, insureds, brokers, underwriters, and legal counsel, including virtual team collaboration.
* Supportive attitude towards colleagues and emerging talent.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
* Proactive, results-oriented approach with the ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Willingness to learn and improve technical skills continuously.
* Fluency in English, with additional European languages like French or German being desirable.
