Reporting directly to the Lead Psychologist, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working, and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training.
As a Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in managing a designated caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support care plans.

Your responsibilities as a Psychologist will include:
1. Undertaking high-quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions.
2. Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi-structured clinical methods for assessments.
3. Formulating and implementing plans for psychological treatment or management based on a multi-factorial understanding and current evidence-based practices.
4. Contributing to MDT care planning and review.
5. Providing clinical supervision to junior staff in the psychology team.
6. Contributing to professional development within the team.
7. Participating in audit and research as directed by the Lead Psychologist.
8. Engaging in CPD activities.
9. Maintaining high standards of care aligned with HCPC Standards, BPS Code of Ethics, and company policies.
10. Being professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of clinical work and care.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* HCPC registration.
* Honours degree in Psychology, eligible for Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
* Applicants in their final year of training will be considered for a preceptorship role.
* Experience working in a clinical setting with adults with complex needs.
* Experience using evidence-based therapeutic interventions for clinical and forensic issues.
* Competence in assessment, formulation, and therapeutic work with service users with mental illness and/or personality disorder.
* Knowledge of psychological therapies, formulation models, and risk assessments.
* Knowledge of trauma work.
* Postgraduate qualification in Forensic, Clinical, or Counselling Psychology through BPS or a recognized body.
* Experience supervising junior team members.
* Research and project work experience.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
