Ensures accurate and timely dissemination of information. Assures school leadership is prepared with differentiated professional development and ongoing coaching aligned to the Strategic Plan. Works in collaboration with the other departments of Central Office in order to personalize and differentiate support for each individual building. Develops and promotes excellent relationships among various community and school clientele. EQUIPMENT & VEHICLES USED: Requires travel within district using personal vehicle. ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Mostly clean and comfortable. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: ● Regular/daily lifting five (5) to fifty (50) pounds. ● Frequent sitting, bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, squatting, and reaching. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of administrative experience, including a minimum of three (3) years of teaching. Principal experience required## Position Specific Information (if Applicable):## Responsibilities:Maintain good public relations with parents, businesses, and community groups to provide information and receive feedback, and represent schools at District-level functions as needed;Implement effective K-12 instructional, assessment and curricular practices responding to the needs of students, the direction of the District, and valid innovations in education;Provide leadership, support and coordination of a collaborative team (to include any additional district departments) to ensure that the District’s mission, priorities, and strategic goals are student-focused, results-oriented, and aligned;Direct the principal selection and evaluation process, mentor potential leaders, and identify candidates for promotion;Exercise systemic perspective in promoting the direction of the District and empower others to make decisions and carry out responsibilities in support of District values and priorities;Oversee the overall operations of school sites including site based budget design/allocation and purchase of instructional supplies, material and equipment, coordinating capital reserve process (small & large capital);Plan and implement human resources activities: hires/directs/mentors/ disciplines/ terminates; staffing; professional development activities; evaluations;Develop and maintain communications, including complaint management, among the students, the community, the faculty and the administration that supports the best interest of students;Work with legal staff on personnel and other related matters as appropriate;Respond immediately to emergency/crisis situations and serve as a district representative based on response needs;Utilize appropriate resources of the staff, student body, school district and the community to develop and maintain highly effective K-12 instructional and co-curricular programs;Build synergistic partnerships among principals, parents, businesses, and other community stakeholders in the educational process, and establish relationships with community leadership and stakeholders to build support for District programs;Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.Support and provide professional development and training to principals and other school staff within region and district, while initiating appropriate actions to support principals and schools;In partnership and collaboration with the other departments of Central Office in order to personalize and differentiate for each individual building, the Executive Director will:Ensure that schools, K-12, have met state accreditation, accountability and school improvement plan requirements by addressing school wide student academic achievement, patterns of low student performance, achievement discrepancies, and Postsecondary Readiness indicators;Monitor the effectiveness of K-12 school practices and their impact on student learning, making adjustments for continuous improvement;## **Work Experience:**Three (3) years of administrative experience, including a minimum of three (3) years of teaching. Principal experience required | Not Required## Certifications:Type D Principal/Administrators License - Colorado Department of Education## Education:Master's Degree (Required)## Skills:Ability to effectively manage a department budget., Advanced knowledge of adult learning strategies, leadership, and accompanying attributes, Advanced skill in dealing with students and staff with diverse needs, An advocate for the district with the capacity to instill high expectations in others, An effective listener with the ability to diagnose needs of the school and translate those needs into a vision for the future, Background in K-12 education programming and considerable expertise in student behavior and development, Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to support positive outcomes, Demonstrated skills in facilitation, problem solving, and conflict management, Effective oral and written communication skills., Excellent interpersonal relations and oral and written communication skills., Experience with Site/Student Based budgeting practices, Has the ability to effectively communicate with the school district community, Hold school administrators to high levels of integrity in all areas of practice, Intermediate to advanced knowledge of developing, monitoring and evaluating K-12 curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices, Is flexible., Knowledge of Board and Superintendent Policies, the District Strategic Plan and school law, Maintains a generally positive attitude., Observes all District policies and procedures., Strong planning, organization, motivation, management, and evaluation skills, Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions## Position Type:Regular## Primary Location:Inverness Campus## One Year Only (Yes or No):No## Scheduled Hours Per Week:40## FTE:1.00## Approx Scheduled Days Per Year:260 Work Days* *(260 days indicates a year-round position.
