Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Drainage and Water Engineer, you will:
* Deliver high-quality, compliant, and sustainable drainage and water solutions across various projects.
* Support the design lead on assigned work packages, ensuring programme, budget, and risk commitments are met.
* Provide technical input to the team and assist with knowledge sharing, while supporting early-career engineers.
* Maintain consistent standards and best practices in delivery.
Your Day-to-Day Tasks Will Include:
* Taking ownership of technical outputs, ensuring they are coordinated, compliant, and sustainable.
* Applying relevant design standards, regulations, and quality processes consistently.
* Identifying risks or issues proactively and supporting timely resolutions.
* Managing the delivery of individual tasks within the programme and budget, escalating issues as needed.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* An HNC, BTEC, or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering field.
* Experience in producing engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and models in drainage and water design.
* A solid understanding of relevant design standards, regulations, and quality assurance processes.
* The ability to conduct site visits, surveys, and desk-based research to inform design outputs.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing routine tasks.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
* A full driving license and a willingness to travel as required.
Working Conditions
Location: Exeter, Ipswich, Wymondham, Speke, or Salford - with remote working options available and occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility on hours is available, just let us know when you speak to us.
